Thank you SABC...

Thanks to Kim Zachery and the Sheridan Adult Booster Club for hiring me to shoot the ring presentation for the 2008 State Championship Runner-Up Sheridan Blackhawk team on Tuesday night! There was a great turnout for the Basketball games and the presentation in-between the games that night. The team, coaches, cheerleaders and everybody sure has a lot to be proud of! I was talking with Chief Weir from the police department in the gym that evening and he stated something so true...it will hit these guys in a few years just what they really accomplished. So true, right now the kids are dealing with going to school, growing up, working and all the pressures of being a teen these days that I don't know if they really know what they have done. In 4 or 5 years the seniors will probably look back and say "Holy Cow!" (or something to that effect) and realize how great a team they have been a part of and just what was acheived over the past 4 years. It's really something.

Rising Stars!

My 11-old-son, Andrew, took his new digital slr camera to Rising Stars for his first photo shoot! He never really used the camera besides just a few snaps at home. I'm impressed with what he came back with! Here is a video slideshow of some of the Rising Stars shots. We have this available on a DVD with the music video and the photos for only $10 if you'd like to have a copy.

Katelin....Indiana Model

We had a commercial shoot with Katelin last week and this is a video slideshow of some of the shoot. She came from Greenfield and we knocked out several different sets in a short amount of time and she did a great job. Alayna Miller was the makeup artist and did a great job making sure Katelin was ready. We're looking forward to future jobs with both!

The Dogs...

I had both dogs in the studio the other day and couldn't resist getting a couple shots of 'em. Tucson the beagle is the one you see almost every day with me at work. He was a stray that adopted us over 4 years ago. We think he is 8-10 years old. Tucson is a real sweet dog that gets along with everybody. Bisbee is now around 11 weeks old and cute as a button. Also very awnry! He's a Jack Russel Terrier that we adopted from the Pals for Paws rescue by Kokomo. He is in the studio every now and then.

Sheridan Girls Varsity Basketball

Congratulations to the Lady Blackhawks for their 69-55 win over Clinton Central Thursday night! They closed out the season with a great 12-8 record. I was really impressed with the intensity of play that the girls showed! The last basketball game that I shot was in 1986. Wow. That was 23 years ago! Back in the day of Tri-X black and white film pushed to 3200 ASA. (yes, ASA not ISO) I can't believe it's been that long but you just don't shoot bball in the corporate world. So it was a different experience for me. Digital, Nikon D3 rated at 6400 ISO. N0 souping film after the game. No printing wet negatives. Times have changed! I will be shooting the boys varsity next Thursday and look forward to that. We have a selection of shots over on our website. Here are just a few samples.
