Sheridan Schools Construction...
I recently did a project for the Sheridan Community Schools shooting some of the new construction that's been happening in different buildings. I gotta tell ya, there are some nice things happenning here! I think that people will be pleased when they see what some of their tax money is going for. The new high school library (pictured here) looks great, the new administration area in the high school is shaping up nicely and will be such a great improvement over the current entrance. The new elementary will be so nice for teachers and students alike. I am only posting one little photo here on the blog as the others will come out over the summer from the school in publications. This is a time of pride for the Sheridan school system, that's for sure!

Seth...
Seth is a Sheridan senior who will be moving on to his next stage of life at University of North Carolina in the fall. He came in last week for a mini-session in the studio and since it was somewhat warm we also went out for some shots but the wind was sooooo bad we decided to meet again next week to try and get the shots we want. So here's a sneak peek at a couple studio shots. Don't forget '09 seniors, it's not too late to get your senior photos done, whether it's an Ultimate Session you want or a mini-session.
4 Smiles....
We had a great time a couple weeks ago for an hour or so in the studio on a blustery day with four siblings. We smiled, we laughed, we jumped and we (well, just me actually) got worn out! As you can see, even Tucson the studio beagle weasled himself into a few photos. He just couldn't get enough of being with the kids. Thanks Patrick, Cameron, Sean and Hannah!

I shot the President....No not that way, or who you think..
Way back last month the Sheridan Historical Society, the Sheridan Public Library, the school system and patrons invited Fritz Klein to be a part of the the Boxley Lecture Series and speak in town. Fritz is an Abraham Lincoln impersonator that has been on the Discovery Channel, History Channel and more. It was a great evening and Fritz was fascinating. It was like looking at our greatest president in person! I meant to post these earlier but, hey, better late than never!

Sheridan schools Drama club play "Once On This Island"
I would like to draw your attention to a great play being put on by the kids of the elementary and middle schools called "Once On This Island." I watched the dress rehearsal tonight and came away impressed with the talent of the kids. This is an enjoyable musical for the whole family with great costumes and scenery. The production will be Friday thru March 15th. Mrs. Cathy Good and Mrs. Sandy Moore are the faculty "brains" behind the students. Come on out to the SMS auditorium at 7pm Friday March 13th, Saturday March 14th or 2pm on Sunday March 15th and show your support! I have photos from the dress rehearsal online at our website. If you would like to purchase one I will donate $1 of every print sale to the Drama club to help out the kids.
Thank you Sheridan Rotary Club....
Thanks to the men and women of the Sheridan Rotary Club for inviting me to speak at their meeting Tuesday evening. I enjoyed meeting everybody, the conversation and the delicious dinner! I spoke about my career in photography spanning 23 years and how I ended up with a studio in Sheridan. And I topped it off with a music video montage of some of my work. It was a great evening a good 'ol Sheridan hospitality and I appreciate it!
