Linked up with Sheridan Adult Booster Club

We are now linked up with the Sheridan Adult Booster Club! It's a great organization that has donated over $25,000 back to the Sheridan athletic programs for much needed equipment, scholarships and much more. What a Surpise Honor!!!!

I got a call a couple days ago from The Noblesville Times telling me that I was voted runner-up in the photographer category of the 2010 Readers Choice Awards of Hamilton County! I remember seeing something about the "best of" competition in the paper but didn't think much about it as I have been so busy with business. Well, it turns out that I got the second highest number of votes according to Alan at The Times. That's quite an honor since I didn't ask or solicit any votes whatsoever! And with all the studios in Hamilton County, Noblesville, Carmel etc. Wow! I don't know who nominated me but thanks to all who voted. It was quite a surprise to get a call about something I knew nothing about!

I just want to say thank you to all my clients over the past year. We have been busy beyond belief and are ramping up for another great senior season!

Published in 3 books plus a cover!

I had one of my photos just published on the cover of a childrens book here in the US. It's called Police Cars by Kay Manolis and published by Bellwether Media.

I also sold photos to TFH Publications for a book titled Good Rabbitkeeping by Sue Fox aimed at middle schoolers who are raising, guess....guess....rabbits!

Finally, Jossey-Bass Publishing bought photos for a book titled Why Don't Students Like School? by Daniel T. Willingham. Thanks to my agency for hooking me up on the recent sales!

SHS Freshman Basketball...

Here's a few shots from the freshman game held in the gym at Adams on Tuesday night. Wow, and I thought the high school gym lighting was dark! Adams is like a cave! But I love that gym, there is so much history in there and is a true throwback to the old days. I sure hope the new owner of the school will preserve as much as possible in there. The boys lost in a close game but there was a lot of hustle (and one injury which stopped the game for about 10 minutes). We have the shots posted on the web site under the Sheridan link.

SHS Varsity Wrestling

Tuesday night after studio appointments I stopped by the wrestling match and took a few shots for about 20 minutes. Had I realized that it was the last home match I would have stayed longer and hit another freshman basketball game on a different day! Maybe I can get over to the Zionsville tourney to get shots of more of the wrestlers when that day rolls around. I have them posted on the website under the Sheridan link. Here's Cassie!

Cassie is our star goalie on the Sheridan girls varsity soccer team and a 2010 Senior. We had a good time running around town shooting and dodging the sprinklers on the soccer field! The grounds crew was blowing out the lines before the first freeze and we could hear the water and air going through the pipes so luckily we could move out of the way if it was getting too close! I loved the old barn at her Granddads place and we got some great shots there too. Thanks Cassie and good luck with your future endeavors! Here's just a few of the shots.

Katie!

Katie is a senior at Westfield High School for 2010. She and her mom came in for our Plus Session on a cold day and we shot in-studio and then outside until we all got a little too cold! Katie did a great job for being so cold! Thanks Katie and have a great senior year!
