Ashley...

I had a great time with Ashley on her Senior shoot. She is graduating in a couple weeks and Senior photos were one of those things that just didn't get done until now. No problem. I've had quite a few '09 Seniors coming in lately. Ashley likes the black and white, spot color, and grunge styles (and so do I) so we did some of those. She also brought along a couple old photos of her 2 Granddads that have passed away and we did some shots with those. In addition she brought along her Clarinet, drum head and band awards so we shot those too! Good luck in the future and congrats Ashley!

Caleb...

Wow, have I been behind on the blog! We've been very busy the past few weeks and things get away from me that aren't directly related to clients. But anyway....Caleb came in for a fast session. He didn't want much, just a few shots. That's ok! Even with our Basic $29 in studio session you will get about 80 to 100 photos to choose from! He wanted some with his dog, Chloe. What an awesome dog. She has a great personality and was very friendly. Here's just a couple...

Andrea and Chase....

Andrea and Chase stopped by the studio on their way to the 2009 Prom last week. I got there just in time from another appointment for Prom photos. It was a rainy evening so we stayed inside for some quick shots. We spent 15 or so minutes shooting before they headed off for a fun night. What a great couple! Andrea reminded me of a classic movie star in her beautiful dress! What a great time of year for high school seniors!

A Great Day for a Baseball Game!

Saturday was a great day for sports at Sheridan. I went to my sons first of two games and shot a little there and then went over to the baseball and softball games. Here's a few shots from the Sheridan Varsity Baseball game. I really enjoyed the action on a warm and sunny day. The cheeseburger fresh off the grill wasn't bad either! We have shots from the baseball game posted on the website under the Sheridan links. We'll be posting the girls softball in a day or two.

Track Meet!

I hit the first track meet at Sheridan High School on Thursday while my son was at soccer practice. While he was busy with practice I went over to the stadium and took in some of the activities in the meet. We had a nice afternoon with great weather so I got a few shots. We have them online at our website in the Sheridan links section. Here's a couple shots here...

Meet Kayla, one of our Sheridan HS senior reps!

Here's a sneak peek at some of Kayla's senior shoot. We only shot in the studio on a cold day and will be heading out for the fun outdoor shots in May when it's nice and green and the trees and flowers all have a chance to wake up from this long, miserable winter we had. Kayla will be a senior next school year at Sheridan High School and will be one of our senior reps. We are honored to have a great girl like Kayla on board for our studio for the coming year. She's going to have some goodies for other seniors referrals to the studio that she can hand out. We'll post more from the outdoor session very soon!

Next years Sheridan seniors...on May 2nd we will have an announcement that will make life a lot easier for you! Can't say anymore until then!

Oliver...

Oliver came in on a blustery Saturday a couple weeks ago for a fast Senior session. We had him in and out of the studio in under an hour! With clothing changes and a car session! We can get you guys that don't like to have your photos taken done pretty quickly. I know most guys are not that excited about it and really are only getting senior photos done for their mom (or some other lady.) Heck, even I never had senior photos! I just had the yearbook photo done and that was it. See ya! No thanks! I know what it's like. So...Oliver is a good example here. He was great, let me say. We had some fun and a nice conversation in that short time. He just didn't need or care for a whole ton of shots. No problem. We fit in his interests in golf and rowing in addition to his football and car. Since it wasn't very nice out we just stayed in the studio except for the car shots where we went to a couple locations and got those done quickly. BTW, I liked his car (I'm a fan of German engineering and a car guy in general.) Here's wishing the best to Oliver as he ends his high school career and embarks on new journeys in life!

Sheridan Schools Construction...

I recently did a project for the Sheridan Community Schools shooting some of the new construction that's been happening in different buildings. I gotta tell ya, there are some nice things happenning here! I think that people will be pleased when they see what some of their tax money is going for. The new high school library (pictured here) looks great, the new administration area in the high school is shaping up nicely and will be such a great improvement over the current entrance. The new elementary will be so nice for teachers and students alike. I am only posting one little photo here on the blog as the others will come out over the summer from the school in publications. This is a time of pride for the Sheridan school system, that's for sure!

Seth...

Seth is a Sheridan senior who will be moving on to his next stage of life at University of North Carolina in the fall. He came in last week for a mini-session in the studio and since it was somewhat warm we also went out for some shots but the wind was sooooo bad we decided to meet again next week to try and get the shots we want. So here's a sneak peek at a couple studio shots. Don't forget '09 seniors, it's not too late to get your senior photos done, whether it's an Ultimate Session you want or a mini-session.

4 Smiles....

We had a great time a couple weeks ago for an hour or so in the studio on a blustery day with four siblings. We smiled, we laughed, we jumped and we (well, just me actually) got worn out! As you can see, even Tucson the studio beagle weasled himself into a few photos. He just couldn't get enough of being with the kids. Thanks Patrick, Cameron, Sean and Hannah!

I shot the President....No not that way, or who you think..

Way back last month the Sheridan Historical Society, the Sheridan Public Library, the school system and patrons invited Fritz Klein to be a part of the the Boxley Lecture Series and speak in town. Fritz is an Abraham Lincoln impersonator that has been on the Discovery Channel, History Channel and more. It was a great evening and Fritz was fascinating. It was like looking at our greatest president in person! I meant to post these earlier but, hey, better late than never!

Sheridan schools Drama club play "Once On This Island"

I would like to draw your attention to a great play being put on by the kids of the elementary and middle schools called "Once On This Island." I watched the dress rehearsal tonight and came away impressed with the talent of the kids. This is an enjoyable musical for the whole family with great costumes and scenery. The production will be Friday thru March 15th. Mrs. Cathy Good and Mrs. Sandy Moore are the faculty "brains" behind the students. Come on out to the SMS auditorium at 7pm Friday March 13th, Saturday March 14th or 2pm on Sunday March 15th and show your support! I have photos from the dress rehearsal online at our website. If you would like to purchase one I will donate $1 of every print sale to the Drama club to help out the kids.

Thank you Sheridan Rotary Club....

Thanks to the men and women of the Sheridan Rotary Club for inviting me to speak at their meeting Tuesday evening. I enjoyed meeting everybody, the conversation and the delicious dinner! I spoke about my career in photography spanning 23 years and how I ended up with a studio in Sheridan. And I topped it off with a music video montage of some of my work. It was a great evening a good 'ol Sheridan hospitality and I appreciate it!
